Experience the wonders of nature seen through a lens as captured by Stan Keiser.
Growing up in Northern California, Stan developed an appreciation of nature at an early age. As a young boy, Stan worked in 4H and quickly became adept at working with animals. Later, Stan learned photography and developed his skills first as an underwater photographer. In the 1970's and 1980's, he traveled to distant seas and explored under the oceans of the world in faraway places from the Truk Lagoon in Micronesia to the Red Sea off Israel. He worked with renowned authorities, such as, the Cousteaus and Sea World. Stan individually earned awards from the San Diego Underwater Photographic Society (Photographer of the Year), International Photographic Competition, Underwater Society of America, International Underwater Photographic Exhibition, and Underwater Photographic Society of America. Stan’s photographs have appeared in Time-Life books, Cousteau publications, and various periodicals. Later, Stan expanded his subjects to include land wildlife enabling him to use his talent for working with animals. Stan enjoys the challenge of capturing images of wildlife in their natural habitat. He prides himself on the authenticity of his images.
Stan supports environmental, wildlife and educational nonprofit groups by regularly offering his photographs free or at reduced rates. His contributions have appeared in school yearbooks and the Marine Mammal Center’s annual calendars, newsletters, brochures and invitations.
Stan’s goal is to share his love of nature through photography, and to inspire everyone to appreciate the natural world. We have only to open our eyes to see the beauty of nature all around us as Stan’s photographs demonstrate. Some photographs are from hard to reach places; yet others are from within easy driving distance of San Diego, California where Stan lives. Several are from Stan’s own back yard.
Stan invites you to enjoy these photographs and to explore your world so you will experience the wonders of nature, firsthand, with your own eyes.
